East Timorese leader of the violent militia gang Aitarak Eurico Guterres, 27, declared to a Jakarta courtroom that he wants to receive the death sentence because he feels rejected by the Indonesian Government. Gang Aitarak waged a campaign of terror against independence supporters in East Timor, during vote for independence in 1999. The Indonesian Government named Mr Guterres as a suspect in a number of murders committed during the year of the vote.
