EGYPT: MOHAMED AL-ZAWAHIRI APPEALS DEATH SENTENCE

Abdel Aziz al-Gamal and Mohamed al-Zawahiri appealed their death sentences in an Egyptian military court. Mohamed al-Zawahiri was sentenced to death for terrorist activities. From inside the Aqrab Prision, Zawahiri said, “We appealed the military court’s death sentence in hopes that we would win the appeal and be retried, especially since we were sentenced in absentia by a military court.”
