"The EU seriously condemns new facts of death penalty through stone beating in Iran," the EU declaration says.
The EU urges Iran's central authorities to immediately investigate this fact and make sure that death penalty through stones will be eliminated in the country in accordance with the international agreement on political and civil rights signed by Iran and other international regulations.
"The EU calls upon the Islamic Republic to eliminate severe and inhuman penalty through stone beating from country's legislation and ratifying the Convention against attempts and other severities, inhumanity or insulting treatment or penalty".
