Fatemeh Morad-Gholi, an Iranian woman fearing persecution for making pornographic films in her home country, was denied refugee status in Australia. The Federal Court dismissed her appeal against an earlier decision to refuse her protection in Australia. While the Refugee Review Tribunal found there is a real chance the widow could be sentenced to death if returned to Iran, it has ruled she is not entitled to a protection visa under the Refugee Convention.
