Feleknas Uca, the German Democratic Socialist Party (PDS) deputy congratulated President Sezer on his election in a written statement. Uca also added that he believed that the new President of Turkey would contribute to the democratisation process, the abolishment of death penalty, respect of human rights and Turkey-EU relations.
