Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer met for talks with his Iranian counterpart Kamal Kharrazi and with Khatami. Fischer said that the talks were characterized by a "mutual constructive spirit" and that he talked at great length about the human rights situation in Iran and the death penalty with Kharrazi.
