Four people were sentenced to death in Rwanda for their involvement in the murder of 120 Tutsis who had taken refuge in a church during the 1994 massacres. The four were found guilty of genocide and crimes against humanity for leading the murder of the Tutsis at Mwezi parish church in Cyangugu province in southwestern Rwanda. This sentencing followed a joint trial in which 40 people were convicted.
