a few months after the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court sentenced her to death, Tabara Samba has taken the matter to the High Court in Banjul to challenge the judgement of Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh. Senegalese by nationality, Tabara Samba stood trial earlier this year for pouring hot oil on her late husband, Mr Ebrima Nyan, resulting to his death. She was found guilty of murder. According to our judicial correspondent who was privileged to see the case list, the appeal case is expected to be mentioned before Justice M.M. Yamoa, a criminal division judge.
