GHANA: FARMER SENTENCED TO DEATH BY HANGING

A Farmer has been sentenced to death by the Wa High Court after he was found guilty of murdering a 43-year old famer at Daffiama in the Upper West region.
According to a report by Ghanaweb, Seven member jury found the suspect, Andrew Bayor Yuoni guilty of murdering Jonas Kwame Yeleliere.
According to sources, the two were involved in a dispute which resulted into the murder. 
Sources indicate that, the accused saw Jonas cutting down branches of a mango tree on the disputed land but the confrontation ensured in a fight. Andrew Bayor was said to have butchered Jonas with a cutlass, who died instantly. But after thorough investigations, it emerged that Andrew committed the gruesome murder claiming the deceased was the first to attack him. The court presided over by Justice Kwasi Boakye sentenced him to death by hanging.
