Gulzar Rawal, 35, was hanged at in Central Jail in Dera Ghazi Khan, Pakistan. He had been sentenced to death by a District and Session court in 2000 after being convicted of killing two children. According to the prosecution, Rawal was cleaning his pistol in December 1996 at his home in Fatehpur, when suddenly the gun fired killing Izhar-ul-Haq, the 7 year old son of a neighbour. His five year old sister, Shakilan Mai, was also present and tried to go home as she was terrified. Gulzar allegedly caught hold of her and strangled her to death.
