Mohamed Isnin Saleh, 33, Azman Ismail, 35, and Ruzaini Ajis, 32, all Singaporeans, were executed by hanging. They had been convicted on May 22, 2002, after being caught in possession of 73 packets of heroin, weighing approximately 35kg, on August 17, 2001.
It was alleged that on the day of arrest Azman was arrested by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) whilst putting into a taxi a black sports bag containing 14kg of heroin.
Mohamed Isnin was arrested when officers raided an apartment and found 43 packets of heroin weighing a total of about 20kg in the false ceilings of the two toilets.
It was reported that Azman's fingerprints had been found on the false ceilings and he also had the key to the apartment.
