Hakimjon Otaboyev, from northern Tajikistan, was sentenced to death by the Soghd regional criminal court. Otaboyev was found guilty under articles 104 (murder) and 302 (attempted murder) of the Tajik Criminal Code. It was reported that Otaboyev shot dead with a hunting rifle his brother, Zayniddin Otaboyev, his son Komiljon and his neighbour Turayev, who was trying to stop the bloodshed.
