Hands off Cain dedicates 8th of March to Iranian women, persecuted by a theocratic regime with the world record for number of executions, in relation to population.
Elisabetta Zamparutti, treasurer of Hands off Cain, said: "Iran, in spite of the supposed good image of President Rouhani, has executed at least 721 people in 2014, including 26 women. More than 1,200 people were executed under President Rouhani.
But if executions are tragically tripled, other human rights violations have increased, as the wave of acid attacks on women.
The international community - went on the treasurer of Hands Off Cain - is concerned about the developing Iranian nuclear threat, but should not ignore the daily threat that the Iranian regime right now, and since decades, constitutes towards its own citizens, men and women."
Elisabetta Zamparutti concluded: "This theocratic and misogynist regime is clearly part of the problem in the Middle East, and therefore can not be part of the solution.
It is necessary that the international community puts, as precondition of any negotiations, the respect for human rights."
Zamparutti will participate, tomorrow March 7, in Berlin, at an event of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, whose leadership is entrusted to a woman, Maryam Rajavi.
