Husam Bin-Kamal Bin-Fu'ad, a Syrian national, was executed in Jiddah after being found guilty of smuggling cocaine into Saudi Arabia. An Interior Ministry statement said that after Husam's arrest an investigation found him guilty and he was referred to the court, which issued a legal sentence for his execution. The sentence was approved by the Cassation Court and the Higher Judicial Council. Subsequently, a royal order was issued to implement the sentence.
