In a Clark County District Court, a jury decided that Timmy "T.J." Weber should die for the slaying of his girlfriend's 15-year-old son, but said Weber should get life in prison without parole in the killing of his girlfriend.
The same jury that found Weber, 29, guilty of 17 charges, decided that mitigating factors including Weber's upbringing, his age, and good behavior since his arrest outweighed special circumstances in the slaying of his girlfriend, 38-year-old Kim Gautier.
But the jury decided that Weber should get the death penalty for the April 4 2002 torture slaying of Gautier's son, Anthony.
Clark County District Judge Joseph Bonaventure set sentencing for May 1.
