In a letter to Chinese Peoples' Assembly head Li Peng, Parliamentary Speaker of Poland Marek Borowski appealed to China to halt the execution of Tenzin Delk, one of two Tibetan monks sentenced to die for plotting bomb attacks in protest against Chinese rule in Tibet. The other convicted monk, Lobsang Dhondup, was executed on January 16 in Ganzi, Sichuan Province. "I was very sad and moved by Lobsang Dhondup's execution", Borowski wrote.
