in Dayton, a Montgomery County jury has recommended the death penalty for Duane Short murder trial. Short, 38,  was convicted last week on aggravated murder chargers in connection with the deaths of Rhonda Short, 31, and her friend Donnie Sweeney, 32. The 2 were shot on July 22, 2004. Judge Mary Katherine Huffman will decide whether to accept the jury's recommendation. She is expected to sentence Short on May 24.
