In December, Israel Foreign Minister David Levi has been trying to persuade the Thai authorities not to execute two Israelis - Yosef Ohana and Avraham Huri - who were sentenced to death after being convicted of drug trafficking. One of them has been in prison for four years, and the other for two. They were sentenced in 1997 for trying to smuggle 2.8 kg (6.2 lbs) of heroin out of Thailand.
