Because this code has not yet been published in the official journal of the Federation, it has still not entered into force. However, as the eminent lawyers state in their report on Bosnia and Herzegovina "it is safe to say that the death penalty is not applied in Bosnia and Herzegovina" (As/Bur/BiH (1999) 1 rev.).
