In July, Shaiful Edham Adam, 22, and Norishyam Mohamed Ali, 26, convicted of killing Jordanka Apostolova, 26, a young Bulgarian woman while robbing her, were hanged in Changi prison. After having seriously injured their victim with ax blows, they threw her into a canal where she drowned.
The executions brought Singapore's total so far this year to 15, putting its hangmen on track for one of their busiest years.
