the Kumar Kamal fast track court in India sentenced Swapan Kumar Jha to death for kidnapping and murdering Sumit Kumar Ojha on October 20, 2008, in Jharia. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakh from Sumit's father, and when it wasn’t received poisoned the victim.
