INDIA. DEATH PENALTY FOR MAN CONVICTED OF KILLING FELLOW INMATE

a District and Sessions Court in Sagar, India, sentenced to death one person and awarded life imprisonment to two others charged with a murder that took place in Sagar central jail.
According to the prosecution, on the morning of September 30, 2005, Madhu Kori stabbed co-inmate Bhoone Raja with a sharp-edged teaspoon in a group fight at the prison. Kori was sentenced to death whilst accomplices Saeed and Raees were given life terms.
