the death sentence awarded to Govindasamy, 43, of Sathyamangalam, India, for killing five people of a family was commuted to life imprisonment. Govindasamy allegedly killed his father’s brother Nagamalai Gounder, his wife, two sons and daughter on May 30, 1984, over a property dispute.
