the European Union appealed to India not to execute KLF member Devender Singh Bhullar, after his mercy petition was rejected. German Ambassador Thomas Matussek said Germany and the European Union will appeal to India, as the German court that extradited him did so erroneously and without the full facts of the case before it. Bhullar was the mastermind of a car bomb attack in New Delhi on September 11, 1993 and was sentenced to death on August 25, 2001.
