INDIA: FATHER GIVEN DEATH SENTENCE FOR RAPE AND MURDER

a division bench of the Punjab and Haryana High Court in India awarded the death sentence to a man for raping and murdering his four year old daughter. Neel Kumar, alias Anil Kumar, a resident of Yamuna Nagar district, was convicted by the division bench of Justice Mehtab S Gill and Justice Jitendra Chauhan. On June 26, 2007, the girl’s mother found her daughter in critical condition, but Kumar ordered her to leave the house. He then murdered the girl.
