INDIA: HC ACQUITS MAN WHO WAS AWARDED DEATH SENTENCE BY LOWER COURT

a Division Bench of the Allahabad High Court in India comprising Justice Yatindra Singh and Justice Surendra Singh acquitted the death sentence of Kanhaiya. He was sentenced to death by the sessions court of Bulandshahar on August 18, 2008, for the rape and murder of a 9 year old girl on February 25, 2005.
