First Additional District and Sessions judge Omprakash Singh found Awadh Bihari Rai and Ishwar Chandra Rai guilty of killing their three brothers Bacha Ji Rai, Shivaji Rai and Ramashankar Rai at their native Uttampur village in the district on July 11, 2001. The motive for the crime was not known.
