Presiding Judge Bambang Eka Putra of the Boyolali District Court in Indonesia sentenced Vietnamese woman Tran Thibich Hanh to death for attempting to smuggle more than a kilogram of crystal methamphetamine into Indonesia from Malaysia on June 19.
Hanh’s lawyer Joko Purwanto, said his client would appeal the verdict.
