According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Thursday 4 May 2023, at least two prisoners named Mohammad Ali Bani Ebrahimi from Bam and Mehdi Farrokhi from Varamin, who were previously sentenced to death for crimes related to narcotics, were executed in Qezelhesar prison in Karaj.
These two prisons were transferred to solitary confinement together with another prisoner named Behrouz Rahmanirad from Varamin.
The news of the execution of these two prisoners has not been announced in the Iranian state media.
