According to a report received by Hengaw, at dawn on February 26, 2025 the death sentences of three Kurdish prisoners were carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. They were identified as Alireza Basati-Nia (a 23-year-old resident of Ilam living in Tehran), Sajad Eghbali Garavand (from the Garavand region of Kuhdasht County), and Mostafa Hajir Behrouz (a 40-year-old from Asadabad, Hamadan Province).
A source close to the family of Hajir Behrouz told Hengaw: "Mostafa Hajir Behrouz was arrested five years ago on drug-related charges. His execution was carried out secretly, without informing his family."
Additionally, Alireza Basati-Nia was arrested two years ago, and Sajad Eghbali Garavand three years ago, both on murder charges.
As of the time of this report, the execution of these Kurdish prisoners has not been announced in state media.
