5 men executed in Zahedan on August 20. One was a juvenile offender
Javanehha reported that, according to Haalvhs.org, early in the morning of Saturday, August 20, 2022, 5 Baloch men were executed in Zahedan. One of them was Omid Alizahi, son of Gul Mohammad, a resident of Zahedan, who was arrested in Zahedan in 2017 at the age of 16. He was accused of murder in a street fight.
Morteza Dehwari, 24 years old, son of Allah Dad, married and has a young child, is a resident of Mohammadi village in Spij district of Sravan. In 2019, he was arrested in Sravan on charges of murdering his stepfather.
Abdulbasit Brahui was the son of Nader, 23 years old, married and has a young child, a native and resident of Zahedan. In 2019, he was arrested in Zahedan on drug charges.
Abdul Rahim Ismail Zahi, son of Mohammad, 30 years old, with two wives and three young children, a resident of Zahedan, was arrested in Zahedan in 2020 on drug charges.
Mohsen Salar Zahi, known as Shahdad Kharkuhi, was the son of Hanif, about 28 years old, married with a young child, and a resident of Zahedan. He was arrested in Zahedan in 2019 on drug charges.
On Thursday, August 18, these five prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement in Zahedan prison to carry out the death sentence.
Last Friday, August 19, the families of these prisoners managed to meet their loved ones for the last time.
