IRAN - An unidentified man was hanghed on Jan. 16 at Mati Kola Prison

An unidentified man was hanghed on Jan. 16 at Mati Kola Prison in Babol. The prisoner, aged 29, was charged with the murder of 33-year-old Babapour Malekshah, stabbed in front of his house. After originally receiving a punishment of only six years in prison, Malekshah’s parents were unsatisfied with the severity of the punishment and pushed for the death penalty of the murderer. A press release was issued that same day.
