NIGERIA: TWO SENTENCED TO DEATH IN ONDO FOR ARMED ROBBERY
An Ondo State High Court sitting in Olokuta, Akure, the state capital, has sentenced two persons, Tobechukwu Aguonu and Uche Igwe, to death by hanging after finding them guilty of armed robbery, Punchng reported on 5 January 2019.

The convicts were dragged before the court after being arrested by men of the state police command for being involved in armed robbery in November 2016.
They reportedly robbed one Augustine Okolie of his vehicle, money and other valuables at Olu Foam area of Akure at gunpoint.
They were arraigned on two counts of conspiracy and armed robbery to which they pleaded not guilty.
