HRANA reported that two prisoners, including a woman, were executed at Sari Prison on September 30, 2026.

On that day, Shahram Fazlollah-Tabar, 35, father of two, and a female prisoner identified as Ashraf Faraji, 57, a native of Ahvaz, a resident of Sari, and a mother of four, were executed.

According to the report, Mr. Fazlollah-Tabar was arrested approximately four years ago on charges of murder following a dispute and physical altercation. 

Ms. Faraji, who suffered from mental health issues and was under medical care, killed her husband in 2022 during an argument and physical altercation.
