September 30, 2025 - IRAN. Mahmoud Gheitarani executed in Sanandaj on September 30
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was hanged in Sanandaj Central Prison on 30 September 2025. His identity has been established as Mahmoud Gheitarani, a 60-year-old Kurdish man from the village of Bardispy in Marivan. He was arrested for the murder of his brother three years ago.
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
