(July 2, 2023) - Bahador Salimi executed in Qazvin on July 2.
According to information obtained by IHR, a man was executed in Qazvin Central Prison (Choobindar) on 2 July. His identity has been established as 43-year-old Bahador Salimi from Hashtroud. He was sentenced to death for drug-related charges by the Revolutionary Court.
A source told IHR: “Bahador Salimi was a father of two and had been behind bars for three years. He was transferred to solitary confinement along with a murder death row prisoner on Friday afternoon (30 June). The other prisoner was returned to his cell after obtaining an extension in his case and Bahador was executed.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
