IRAN. CONVICTED ARMED ROBBER HANGED PUBLICLY

an Iranian convicted of armed robbery was hanged in public in the southwestern city of Ahvaz. The man, reportedly nicknamed Abbas Khasraji but whose given name the news agency gave only as Jasem H., had a long record of bank robberies using a Kalashnikov assault rifle and was arrested two years ago.
