IRAN. CONVICTED MURDERER HANGED

an Iranian man convicted of murdering a fellow prisoner during an escape attempt in July was hanged at a jail in the southwestern city of Shiraz, the Etemad newspaper reported.
The man, who was not named by the daily, had been part of an abortive breakout from a prison in the Gulf port of Bandar Abbas, the paper said.
