According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was hanged in Boroujerd Prison on 17 March. His identity has been established as 44-year-old Hatam Shahpasandi, from Doroud, who was sentenced for murder.

A source told IHR: “Hatam was arrested for the murder of his friend over personal disagreements five years ago. He was a farmer and had one child.”

At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
