September 27, 2023 - Jafar Ghaed executed in Ahar on September 27
According to information obtained by IHR, a man was executed in Ahar Prison (East Azerbaijan province) on 27 September. His identity has been established as Jafar Ghaed, 35, sentenced for murder. A source told IHR that Jafar was a farmer prior to arrest.
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media inside Iran.
