May 7, 2025 - IRAN. Jafar Pourassadi executed in Rasht on May 7.
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was hanged in Rasht (Lakan) Central Prison on 7 May 2025. His identity has been established as 54-year-old Jafar Pourassadi, from Ramhormoz.
He was arrested for carrying more than 70 kilograms of heroin and shisheh(methamphetamine) two years ago.
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
