Jalil Doustyar Barahoui, a Baloch resident of Meybod, was killed after being shot directly by Iranian government forces during protests in the city.
According to information Hengaw received on January 16, the incident occurred on January 9, 2026, when government forces opened fire on protesters.
Barahoui, 22, was originally from Zahedan.
Barahoui had traveled to Meybod for work, Haalvsh News, which covers developments in Baluchistan, reported. He was working as a laborer when he was struck in the chest by live ammunition fired by Iranian government forces and later died from his injuries.
His body was laid to rest on January 16, following a funeral prayer at Makki Mosque.
