The death sentence of Keyvan Mohammadi, a 29-year-old Kurdish resident of Dehgolan (Diwlan) in Sanandaj (Sine) County, was carried out in Zanjan Central Prison. According to information obtained by Hengaw, Mohammadi was executed at dawn on September 24, 2025.
A relative reported that Mohammadi had been arrested two years earlier on drug-related charges. Family members have maintained that neither the drugs nor the vehicle in which they were found belonged to him. Mohammadi was the son of a municipal worker from an impoverished family; his father was illiterate, and his sister has a disability.
The execution has not been reported by state media.
