As previously reported, a man was publicly hanged in Kordkuy city on August 21.
IHR has established his identity as Taghi Damghani. He is the second person to be publicly hanged in Iran in the past week, and the seventh person to be publicly hanged in Iran in 2025. Iran is one of the few countries in the world to carry out executions in public spaces.
