IRAN: MAN TO BE EXECUTED FOR MURDER COMMITTED AS MINOR

an Iranian man, convicted of murder at the age of 16, is expected to be executed in Tehran, according to the Iran Human Rights group. Behnoud Shojaee, 21, denies committing murder at Tehran’s Vanak Park in 2005. Lawyer Mohammad Mostafaei said Behnoud was transferred to solitary confinement as a routine procedure 24 hours before execution. This is despite the Iranian daily newspaper Etemad reporting that Behnoud’s execution was postponed.
