On October 12, Masoud Khodayari and Behnam Mozaffarzadeh, 40, both from Lahijan, were executed at Lakan Prison in Rasht.

Khodayari had been sentenced to death on drug-related charges two years earlier, while Mozaffarzadeh had received a death sentence in a separate drug-related case four years earlier.

Iranian state media have not publicly reported the executions.
