According to information Iran Human Rights obtained on May 21, a man was hanged in Ghezel Hesar Prison on 7 May 2025. His identity has been established as Maziar Karimi, a 40-year-old man on death row for drug-related offences.
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
