Mostafa Sharifi, a 45-year-old Kurdish prisoner from Piranshahr, has been executed in Urmia Central Prison (Darya Prison). According to a report received by Hengaw, the execution took place at dawn on October 3, 2026.

Sharifi, who was married and the father of three children, had been arrested five years earlier on drug-related charges.

Iranian state media have not announced his execution.
