Peyman Babakhani and Mir Ali Hosseini executed on March 15 in Orumiyeh Central Prison.
The prisoners, who were executed in the early hours of the day, had been sentenced on charges of murder.
On 14 March, prison officials ordered the transfer of Babakhani and Hosseini, and three other prisoners named Jafar Esmaeili, Osman Sahraei, and Saado Armand, from wards 1 and 2 of the prison to solitary confinement for execution.
Execution of the three other prisoners has been temporarily suspended upon their families’ requests.
