After three months, the identity of an executed prisoner in Ghezel-Hesar prison in Karaj was verified.
According to IHRS, the prisoner was named Sajjad Hashemi, and this was confirmed on October 27, 2023.
According to a reliable source, Sajjad Hashemi was executed on August 6th, 2023, on charges related to drugs. Hashemi was 38 years old and from Karaj.
According to this source, “Sajad was innocent. During the raid on his house, drugs were found that did not belong to him and were the property of his guests. However, he was also accused of involving with these drugs and sentenced to death.”
